Let say if there where struck 100,000, it can only go less exist not more.

100,000 is still not particularly low for many older coins.

I have an Egyptian coin that apparently has like 32,000 mintage. And it's also apparently silver. (It's also in silly low grade, mind you.)

Sadly I have no idea how I got it (the perils of not taking a continuous catalogue) - but some kind of bargain bin seems likely. I definitely didn't pay much money (certainly under $2).

Also, I think this isn't the right subforum for this thread

Personally like to go for low mintages and high grades if its possible, I never go for low or fair condition

Remember with older coins the mintages published are not the actual nr of coins struck with a particular date.They were the nr of coins struck in the year.

No one knows the quantity of dated coins although pricing books give a very good idea on rarity.
