Just a fun pickup ... pics are a little small because I had to scan ... couldn't photograph through 2 layers of plastic. Never saw one tone as dark as this one, but these sure are pretty coins.

They can tone a dark Black in certain circumstances,great design with character that was ignored for most of its life(including myself,unless it was an exceptional eg. I used to throw them in a Bank bag),only since ebay and the Internet have they been appreciated.
Hard to see from scan but your Coin seems to have some steps which increases value.

AU53 or AU55. Has signs of wear on the mo and beard, also on the maces. Not a fan of ICCS grading Aussie pre decimals as I have a '37 crown that they graded MS64 that is no better than a NGC MS62 that I have.
