Picked these up today from my gold buying place. Paid $1300 for the pair. I know he made a killing cause the guy in front of me sold them to him (he paid $100 per coin) so he made $1100 off me. Anyway....I think one is a solid 64 and the other 63. Both reverses are exceptionally clean which may help. What sayeth the ccf community. I know I'm gonna keep one and sell the other to my buddy, and also sell my 85cc PCGS 62+ cause I know both of these are better.

Your LCS is shameless. Either the person that sold them was an idiot that inherited them or they're stolen.

Both 64.

Very nice... looks like they're from the GSA Hoard and both better than my NGC-63. They also may be the VAM-3 variety.

The guy inherited them that sold them from his father. If I had known what they were I may have intervened and offered him more, but I also want to continue to get deals from this store, since there aren't many in my area. Also this store is a we buy gold store not a coin shop. I honesty,y think my guy didn't know what it was worth and it was a rare date,....it wasn't til I expressed interest in buying them that he did research on ebay. I offered him $500 for the pair at first, still I think I got a fair deal....if one of these comes back a 65 it's worth over $1100 alone.

And yes they are both gsa hoard coins with original box and paperwork too.

I'm thinking 64 on both as well with #1 clearly better and possibly a 65 and #2 maybe dropping to 63 worst case. The reverses on both are stunning.

Both are at least MS-64. I think the first one has a strong shot at MS-65 due to exceptional luster.

I'm gonna have my buddy send them to PCGS before I sell one. It seems like a solid consensus of one being a 65 and one being a 64. Thanks.
