I think you're correct, based upon the characteristic comet gouge that's pointing toward the base of the E on the obverse.

Could be you have it.. the gouge is the marker.. another question is how valuable is it because of the gouge? Vams are not all about how valuable they are as is the hype of that IT IS A VAM.. or should I say that it's not a perfect coin with no blemish..... FOR THE YEAR.if this is something extra special, sell it now.....A gouge is not A high end VAM thing..its a polishing thing due to maintanence of the dies..
