There have been a couple $1 Hawaii notes posted and I have to say that's one of my favorites as well.

It's not graded (obviously) but I can't see any problems with it. There is some wave in the paper on the top edge of the note but from what I've read that's normal.

I think it's hilarious that the Mexican bank note says "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY" on it. The Bank of Mexico couldn't figure out how to design their own notes and had to outsource the job to the U.S.?

Thank goodness they did!

Reminds me of the wonderful South Park episode about the Mexican Space Agency.

No offense, amigos!

Among World banknotes my favorite has to be the Costa Rica 5-Colones note that I brought back from there in February 1985:

... and among US notes my favorite is the only star note I have ever found in circulation:

JFH - Great gold $10, one of my favorite notes. Looks AU in pics - tell us about it. Any hard folds?

I've had that Costa Rican note in my ebay shopping cart for a month now and I'm waiting to add a few others to combine shipping before I pull the trigger. It's just such a great note. The back reminds me of many museum paintings I've seen.

Coinfrog--The note has no folds, it is as pure as the winter snow. One problem, is has a narrow border, knowing nothing about notes when I purchased it, I guess that is not a good thing. Picked this up simply because it was too stunning to pass up. Paid $ 690.00, have always thought about getting it graded, but well, you know what they say about good intentions.

JFH - This note is notorious for tight front top and bottom margins. I'll dig up a comparison note or two in a minute.

JFH -

Note the tight margins on this higher-grade example. This is invariably the case.
