In addition to the 1997 Botanic Gardens set

https://goccf.com/t/259723

I also just found 2 of the 1993/1994 Thomas Jefferson Coinage and Currency Sets, with the $2 bill, silver dollar and uncirculated nickel. My question to all of you is whether the 1994-P Jefferson nickel is the "matte" finish or not. The OGP for the 1997 nickel mentions it having the matte finish. However, the OGP for the 1993/1994 TJ set doesn't say anything about matte finish. As I've researched this set, it appears that the 1994-P nickel in this set was only made with the matte finish.

I just want to be sure I describe this item accurately in the future. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes the 1994 Jefferson set is the only place you can get a
1994 Matte proof nickel. All sets had the nickel.

If you see a 1994 matte proof Jefferson outside the set,
it is because someone cracked it out.

With this set also watch for a $2.00 star note. Some sets
have the star note. I would not break up a set with a star note.

You may also see that the nickel often tones on the reverse
of this set.

FYI
Commemorative coins and set, along with American Eagle
and non circulating coins have their own section on CCF.
The section is called

U.S. Commemorative and Non-Circulating Coinage (NCLT)
