I was at a local convience store today and I noticed she had some halves in her drawer. She let me buy them. There was 4 of them. I put them in my pocket and headed home.
Later on at the house I was checking my change and one of them halves was a 1943 Canadian 50 cent. I was checking rest of my change from the store I found a 1935 Canadian 5 cent.
I was going to provide some pictures but my scanner has an attitude problem right now(its going to look good out in the yard).
I'm pretty new to coin collecting so any input on these coins would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tracy

Thank you, SHAFTA9a.
The nickel is in good condition. The fity cent looks a little used.
I have a buddy that works nights at this store And says he'll keep an eye out for me.
Thanks again,
Tracy

Just got back from seeing my buddy. Didnt have no more Canadian but I did get a 1914 Lincoln. I used to manage a convenience store and used to get all kinds of change.People will cash in anything for a pack of smokes.
There I got a 1943 25 cent,1940 1 cent,1958 1 cent. Them Canadians make some beautiful coins.
I think it pays off to get to know conveniece store clerks.

That is very interesting. I have never seen a canadian half dollar in circulation in the USA. I am in Michigan which borders Ontario and never seen one. Though it is quite common to get all other small denominations in your change.

I'm in Michigan too. We get Canadian cents, nickles, dimes, rarely quarters anymore. I'd love to find Canadian halves and dollars here.

I agree, Them Canadians make some beautiful coins.
