I feel that I get about 45% of these correct, but to me it looks like a DDO. On the 2 the device looks wider to me where MD would make it thinner. If I found this there is no doubt that I would also post it with the same question to make sure. Want to see what the experts think.

Note the area affected. They are reduced when compared with the left side of those devices. Note the color, just one color and it is flat. So it is Machine damage after the strike.

It looks similar to the 1962 WDDO-010 though

I see nothing that is the same as 010.

Is the nickel the most machine doubled coin out there?

They are all plagued with them. Certain years of cents have there issues with MD. The larger coins have also an issue because of the larger size. Proof coins also have a lot of issues with flat field doubling and MD as well. Just a bad event that happens and fools many a collector.
