I randomly looked through a bit of old silver I've collected over the years and found this 1953-d Franklin half dollar that might be the BB variant. Any opinions would be appreciated.

I got this coin while I was standing in line at a Wendy's at the University of Florida. This girl in front of me was arguing with the clerk. The girl was paying for her hamburgers with silver half dollars and the clerk didn't recognize them as money so I traded her bills at face value. She happily payed for her burger and walked away. I got a ziplock bag of silver half dollars.

This one shows the potential defect a little better.

Looks normal from what I can see. The more obvious, the more interest.

Thanks for the help. What threw me off was that it looked different than my other Franklin halves.

After looking at the coin at 100X with polarized light and normal light, the marks on the upper lip appear to be oxidation/dirt.

Thanks again,

They are often referred to as vampire coins as the teeth look more like fangs.
