I've seen something like that before, but can't recall the specifics. With a (very stylized!) portrait on one side, and a (very stylized!) fire-altar on the other, it's definitely imitative of the Sassanian drachm, which looks like these. I'm reluctant to guess at this stage without swatting up some more.

Aha, found it. It's from mediaeval India, normally catalogued under the name of the "Chaulukyas of Gujarat", circa 1000 AD. Check out this page on zeno.ru for numerous examples of this type.
