Jeez..5 week wait for grades, and get an email Friday saying my PCGS grades were in, and, lo and behold, they messed up the label on the KILO 2014 Libertad...instead of PL69, they put MS69, and, of course, the wrong coin number. Couldn't stop it in time with a call..so, BACK it has to go for relabeling, and a 5 week wait.again...glad I'm in no hurry to sell it, or I would have been steamed. It IS free, but the wait sucks, and, NO apology from S.....on the phone line...just a "we'll send an email on how to resubmit"...kinda cold, if not downright sub-zero customer service. Last year they put the wrong year on my 2014 Proof Britannia's, which took 7 weeks to fix...
Speaking of labels and coin numbers, one has to be super careful on all the 5 Oz silver P-Mint ATB's...many say "Mercanti signed", and, ebay sellers jackup the price 25%(PCGS Book prices ARE Higher for the PROPER PCGS COIN NUMBER with this, yes)...well, only a few REALLY have the RIGHT coin number for that!!...90% sold are the STANDARD coin number, and, put it in the generic value section price-wise. Always type in the coin number to double check, and, find the PCGS coin number page to double-check. It means the difference of a fair chunk of change, for those investing in labels....er...5 oz ATB's.
I have written many bigtime ebay sellers about this ripoff, and, they all say the same thing.."contact PCGS"..it's really a lawsuit waiting to happen, as thousands of collectors are being taken advantage of, and, being sold goods improperly.

Always makes me wonder why people support these slabbing companies. In an effort to improve things for the collector/investor all that seems to be happening is things are getting more complicated. And another thing I don't understand is why, when, this particular company makes a blunder virtually nothing is said, but a lesser known competitor gets ridiculed and labelled a "back yard operation". A guarantee or replacement is fine but does do nothing to soothe the inconvenience and annoyance.

I Hate Slabs!!

You either buy slabs or there are lots of series you cannot collect. If you have coins over a couple hundred dollar, you either get them slabbed or you cannot sell them for full value. Its just the reality of the market these days.

One firm rule with vinegar, should you want to try that, is always separate the coins by their metal type prior to soaking. Well, that is, if keeping the natural colour is desired.

Would love to see the size of the blue box those puppies get delivered in

Why would that be a PL? Looks like a Rev.PR to me. Should be designated Reverse Proof?

Wait, wasn't everyone just bashing ANACS in the last thread about their 10 coins for $10 each special and that would mean PCGS And NGC are GODS and can do no wrong?

Why would a re-label take 5 weeks? Economy grading can take that long but a simple re-holder/re-label should be much faster.
