As in the title, what happens if you put wrong data on a TPG submission form? For example, if the main catalog number for your coin is wrong, the sub-type designation is wrong? Similarly, problems may occur if there is an overdate and you don't mention it, or write an incorrect one. I imagine such cases are not unheard of. How do the TPGs proceed?

Email them and explain your mistake and they should be able to sort it out for you as long as the coin hasn't already been graded

Well, this is merely a theoretical question as I haven't submitted anything.
What if I do not notice my mistake or submit through an intermediary who doesn't spot it either?

Coins get put in mistaken holders all the time. If the finalizer doesn't catch it, it will go out. However, varieties will be verified or will not go on the holder.

Varieties cost extra for identification from both NGC and PCGS. If you misattributed the variety they will probably catch the error the great majority of the time.

I have messed up submission forms when submitting to ANACS. They called me and got it sorted before they graded and encapsulated anything in the submission. With variety, ANACS has always validated and corrected the labeling.
NGC has attributed varieties for me even when I wasn't aware of them. I assume they would also sort a messed up submission form before processing it.

I made a mistake on a Morgan VAM and PCGS called me to address the problem.

As part of NGC's receiving process, I believe their is a verification step as the submission is entered into their computer system. Most submitter errors would be caught at this step.

If the TPG catches it they apparently contact you, if they do't you will get back the coin with the incorrect info on the label. There was a guy who had a thing for the Accented Hair Kennedy's. One day he decided to try sending in a Non Accented Hair marked as an Accented Hair to see if they would catch it. It came back as the Top Pop Accented hair Kennedy.
