The pics are a bit small/lo-res but AU+ sounds reasonable based on what can be seen.

The visible hairlines concern me a bit - it's in the AU range but may have been wiped at some point

Looks sort of 55 to me, but agree the obverse might have been thumbed.

AU-55 but those obverse hairlines would make me think the dreaded "detail" might be attached.

i don't disagree that the hairlines are a bit annoying and do reduce the value versus other examples in the grade range. If I can one day get what I paid towards an upgrade than all will not be lost.
