To all the nice people dumping all the silver half dollars I have been finding... THANK YOU!!
Its all part of the game we play. Sometimes we lose out and get cut short and sometimes we have $10 bucks extra in coins.

The shorted rolls do not just affect CRH. I am thinking of the poor cashiers who get them and how it affects their meager pay through no fault of their own.

Kind of pitiful really, that someone wants to cheat for 1, 5 or 10 cents.

I can understand a miscount from time to time, but a lot of those are not miscounts.

Why do people put dimes in penny rolls? I experienced it quite often as well when I used to go through pennies!

Good question. Often, the dimes I find in cent rolls are ugly - dark in color, for example. I presume that older people with poor eyesight might be part of the problem.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

To all you rollers who put American coins in Canadian rolls, thank you, you have given me a great collection of American coins at less than face value.

45 pennies and the rest were buttons

Be happy a button is worth more than a cent these days.

I always assume that it was probably just a mistake.
