I was wondering where you get a strap of 1 dollar 2,5,10,20 ect. of in sequence bills. I have did a search for several weeks but all I can find is ebay. I would like to know where you can get them for face value? If at the bank which banks? Thanks

depends on the serial numbers or a star at the end of the serial number.

A bank will be your best bet. You will have to check with banks in your area to know which ones. And it can be a hit or miss thing.

I think this is in the wrong forum, but I've bought a pack of $2 bills from the bank and they were in sequential order.

If the strap from your local bank comes from the Fed Reserve, you may have a chance. But banks routinely strap up the bills in the tellers drawers. So there would be almost no chance there.

If I were you, I would go to the bank and explain you'd like a strap of new money from the Fed Reserve. The brandy-new money is called "brick" money. If they have it, they should be happy to unload it. New money is hard to count by both machines and humans.

They may not have any. But at least you won't get the carp bills from their drawers.
