Bryan - How come your 70/70 does not have holes for the earlier dollars and half dollars ? (Draped Bust and Flowing Hair types)

Here's a link to my completed 7070. The picture is dated and several uncirculated examples are now replacing the Shield nickels, the Barber quarter, all the Lincolns,\.

It is a rewarding set to complete in any grade.

I don't know why those coins aren't represented in the 7070 album

Me either, but from a cost standpoint I am kind of glad they aren't included. There are others omitted as well like the various types of Three Cent Silvers.

The Flowing Hair material is not included since the 7070 is a 19th and 20th century type album, not 18th. The only overlap there is the Draped Bust large cent 1796-1807. I imagine that the silver Draped Bust material is not included as a nod to the common collector on a budget as adding those coins would triple or quadruple the cost of completing the whole set(not counting the optional gold page). The exclusion of the T1 large diameter Capped Bust dime and quarter as well as the other two types of 3CSs is a bit odd though Of course, there are other minor ones such as the CENTS/no cents Liberty nickels, the no drapery/stars Seated Liberty coins, and the 1921 Morgan which is a bit different from the 1878-1904 examples.

As a note to the original poster the 7070 number denotes the type of album- 6000 and 7000 series albums are for circulation coinage, whereas 8000 series albums include proofs as well. example- Lincoln Cents 1909-date is 7100 while 1909-present including proofs is 8100. Dansco is the company that makes the albums.
