Hi everyone, I noticed this funny thing on this 1961 dime.

What would you call the error on the date? is it inverted? I have never seen this one before.

Looks like it may be a die chip.

Hans Zoell called this one a 'die crack' and catalogued it as FH284n (inverted 7 in date) back in 1970 (5th edition catalogue). Your coin also has elements of P284t (N of CANADA), which is also in the catalogue.
