Cwt And/Or Store Card - Coin Community Forum

JWM New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 05/13/2016 5:45 pm I recently procured a coin that I'm not sure if it's a CWT or a Store Card. I suspect it's not a store card since it doesn't have a store die on either side but it also doesn't have a dated patriotic die on either side. I've located what I believe to be die number 1200 on page 44 of U.S. Civil War Store Cards Third Edition by George and Melvin Fuld an eagle over a Liberty marked shield in a wreath. What I believe to be the reverse side I found in Patriotic Civil War Tokens third revised edition by George and Melvin Fuld number 352 showing crossed cannons a drum and flags with the word Union on one of cannons. Could this possibly be a cross of a Civil War Token and a Store Card made by one of the shops manufacturing the coins. Report this Post to the Staff
