good evening all came across this quarter tonight and I will post it because I'm still not sure how a DD is supposed to look on a incused divice. I see some notching on the date but I still cant tell the diffrence between DD and MD in newer quarters

Incused devices enlarge with MD, but I have no experiences with incused DD's.

I thought this might have been a DD but it turned out to be MD. I see the notching on your coin. An expert will probably determine what it is.

It is very common to see the machine damage on the incuse design on the ATB Quarters.

That's tough, but a good lesson for us Nyfireman. These incused MD's look a lot different than the raised MD's.
