If I could get some input on this Cash, I would appreciate it. I am fairly new when it comes to collecting these coins. This coin came from a dealer that I trust and I have no reason to believe that it is a modern fake.

If you look at the symbols on it, they look slightly different than all other Cash that I have from this emperor. The mint mark is off too.

Can anyone please tell me if it is just another variety that I have not seen, a period counterfeit or something else?

Thank You,
Doug

I know these are easy to counterfeit, looks OK to me. Cast brass for these is quite common.
The nearest equivalent I could find is
Schjoth 1490

Looks like Hartill 22.261 in appearance to me (1795). These were a bit smaller in diameter and had wider rims than some other cash from Emperor Gao Zong. On the rev, the yuwan symbol on the right is horizontal at the top compared with most of the other issues where there are one or two vertical strokes at the top.
