Both of the "lumps" are plating bubbles. Plating bubbles plagued early Zincoln issues from the 1980s, causing many of them to corrode into oblivion. The bubbles are less common on newer issues but they are still undesirable. The bubbles are caused by contamination on the zinc blank prior to electroplating.
