I love die cracks.

I follow an ebay seller who offers lots of large cents in fair to good condition and once in a while I see a coin of interest.

My question for the community is about the obverse at star 2. I think the damage was created at the mint and is not PMD. What does everyone think about it? There is also an angular slice in the edge at star 2. The reverse is not so good even after acetone, xylene, and verdi care. I have an 1830 in higher grade but just loved the die cracks on this one.

Looks like it may have been cleaned/retoned several decades ago?

I love die cracks too

I would have no problem adding a coin like that to my collection.

Cool die cracks for sure! Not sure exactly whats going on with star 2. I could be a planchet flaw IMO.
