hello CCF

found this coin a little while ago
Thanks to this site's knowledge I managed to pick this out of my pile of doubles

Nway some guy said they are very common and have no value what so ever , but that does not bother me,they are not common for me here down in europe ;)

I'd venture AU-50.

Looks around EF for detail. The greenish patches on the reverse look like PVC residue which could cause corrosion over time. There might already be some corrosion damage at the rim over AMERICA. I would soak and rinse this coin in pure acetone to remove the PVC and prevent further damage.

The clash marks are interesting but as you say probably don't add any monetary value.

so I let it soak in acetone for a while, but it still has some green residu on the coin although a bit less.
would verdi-care help in this case? I wanted to buy it before and try it ,but for some reason I could't get my paypal account straigtend out and I have no visa or maestro card or any of those cards to speed things up.(but its sorted now I think)

would vedi-care take care of these spot?

Buff clashes on the bay, do indeed, show they carry a decent premium. In all the years I've
searched boxes, I believe I've found 1.

Verdi-Care probably can't hurt and it can work well especially on copper coins but acetone is the weapon of choice to combat the PVC residue. You can soak it longer without causing any damage. Be sure it's pure acetone, not nail polish remover or some similar product.

I presume fioti is correct about the possibility of clashed Buffalo nickels selling at a premium on ebay. Good to know if you are tempted to sell!
