Not sure on actual color. Seller pictures use WAY too much light. When it gets here I'll be able to see the real color.

Nice interesting late die state Newcomb 9 (R3) 1827 Coronet cent for you to ponder. Thoughts on a grade welcomed (I know you can't judge color from these pics.)

Agree with VF20, and also agree that color might be odd, with a few pock marks on the obverse.

A bit less. It's a fairly scarce variety, even with questionable color. It is my 4th Newcomb variety completed for 1827, too.

I have a feeling coin will look great in hand but if not it still fills the hole.

VF20. it could be recolored. repost when you get it. it will interesting to see what the excessive light may be hiding. I think the hits across the face may pull a details designation even if the color is ok

Still at VF20 but I am on the fence about the color. she could have been touched up at some point.
