This certainly has an interesting color and looks great for its grade. NGC slab. What do you think NGC gives this one?

Assume the color is as seen. A few scratches, one across the shield but the many small scratches are apparently on the slab.

Those were the seller's pics. Now check out NGC's photos. Cert# 2671524-002. Sorry I'm not sure if we're allowed to link here.

AU-55, too much rub to make AU-58 in my opinion.

What's with the 'A' in 'states'? Did that one letter just get worn out on the die over time? Weird because otherwise it is quite a good one.

Looks like an O-116, R-2. The weak A is typical for that Overton variety. I'd say AU-55, beautiful color.

So that would be a square base 2, small 8's large letters?

Pics from NGC look rather ugly. First pics I'd say MS-62. Above pics from NGC I'd say AU-58.

Amazing how different coins look in different pics. Illustrates perfectly the difficulties in evaluating a coin online. I generally discount NGC a little as I don't think they take good photos unless you pay for the special photo services.
