Hi everyone, Just wanted an opinion on a coin. I am very new to coins, but hoping to learn more with time. I tried to take the picture in a natural light. Anyways its a 1946 dollar. I have done a little bit of research and reviewed the coin. My guess is at a VF-25 --- 30. Am I way off here? Thanks,

I would say VF30+ Close to VF40

I think you are a tad conservative on this one. I'd go EF-40.

Looks at least EF-40 to me. Possibly EF-45

EF-40, not enough wear on the hair to go to VF

I'd say an au50 has much luster and little wear

Vatreni,
Welcome to the opinion based world of grading coins. You have opinions ranging from VF 30+ to AU 50. The good news is we all think your dollar is better than where you thought you were at when you posted.

EF-45 to AU-50 over here as well. there is wear but the coin looks to have more wear and imperfections/ less eye appeal because it was a cameo before it was lightly circulated.
Feel free to call me Will.

Easy EF 40,
maybe hairlines or light cleaning, hard to tell with angle, but OBV looks like it has had some form of light cleaning around bust. But it could just be angle and light.

I'd say that there is no way it is worse than an EF40. But I personally could see it getting graded as EF-45 to AU-50. Nice example!
