greetings everyone, I came across this pair of coins, one of which has a octagon shape and the other seems to have sanskrit like lettering, but it couldn't be from Myanmar, especially not Ceylon or could I be mistaken. I tried but can't think of any other country this coin might be from, the octagon coin is even more of a mystery.

The 2nd one resembles one I have from India, Gwalior. Not exactly the same but I think that might give you a starting point.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

The octagonal one is from the India State of Mewar: 1 anna Y17 dated AD 1943 (VS 2000). The illustration in my 2005 Krause is wrong, and I do not know if it has been corrected.

The second is a 1/4 anna from the Indian state of Gwalior. Date is VS1974 (AD 1917) and it likes like Krause type Y 172.
