I just got this guy out of a roll from the local gas station as soon as I pulled it out. I had to put it under light and loop after seeing it. I really wanted to Share it with all the other LMC. Fans like me on here. If it doesn't have any crazy value value. I would love to put this in my collection. Tell me what you all think of this ?

Value is right around 1 cent on that. A form of Post Mint Damage. It's whats commonly called a vise or hammer job. Two coins are placed on top of each other and squeezed together in a vise or hit with a hammer. The other coin that was with this one was lined up off center, and that pushed the letters from that coin into Lincoln's forehead. Looks like they attempted it a couple of times, as there are two other impressions of the rim of the other coin. Another sign this is a damaged coin is the appearance of a bulge on the reverse, showing an impact from the front of the coin.

Thanks for that info guys I kind of fiured it was somthing like that due to it being upside down. And. The only letters where in the head. Along with the multiple gashes. Everything said man made problem.I just really like the look of it. I hate the fact someone would do that but hey. It looks cool and I will put it in my collection of cool looking/no value folder lol.

First clue: The rims are transferred to the tops of the devices. (the rim is not on the die, it is caused during the strike against the die and collar)

Second clue: The devices are mirrored. If it were double struck the devices would not be reversed (mirrored)
