Back when the Mint put those P&D marker tokens in the Uncirculated Sets....What do you guys do with yours?
What is their composition?
From cutting out all my coins, I find myself with a pile of these for many years now...not sure what I ought to do with all those...lol

I use them as place holders. I insert them with a label to take the place of slabbed coins I don't want to free from their plastic cage

Are they the copper kind or plastic? If they are copper you could pick out the best condition P & D and send it to me Hmmm I'm a poet and didn't know it

John....lol

Yeah, they seem to be copper... (I don't hoard copper)--
I don't hoard pre-82 Lincolns or I would just toss em' in the pile.
So they just sit in my miscellaneous box taking up space.
They are all "problem free" good BU gem examples...
But for what
Mine still remain in the OGP after removing all the other coins....waiting for a purpose in life...

Although I plan to crack the slabs to fill those holes, I do like Fuzzy's idea.

Use them in the elongated coin machines. (That way you get rid of the token and get something more interesting in return.)

I've got a ton of the copper-zinc Mint set medals laying around, so I recently popped a P and D out to circulate.

For some reason, I like to think a young potential collector will find one and wonder what it is (and hopefully not mad they were cheated a cent).

I like both those ideas: elongated coins and spark an interest in a new collector

I have found a few of those circulating up here, north of the 49th.
