Looks like a replica pirate coin?
Or if it is real, it is overcleaned.

Yep, it's a replica Spanish-Mexican piece-of-eight, or "pirate coin". Things like this are often sold or given away at pirate-themed gift shops and tourist traps, and also sold in bulk so you can have fun playing "find the pirate treasure" with the kids. Here's one exactly like yours, for sale for only $5.

Thanks all - I found this on a walk one day. I took it to a coin shop and then told me something complete different.
