This was more of an impulse purchase because the price was good. I'm leaning towards flipping it and setting my goals to an AU example. There is strong cheek and jaw separation, my lighting is drowning it out a bit. I didn't want to mess with the shadows too too much or risk the coin looking unrealistic. Thanks in advance!

Russ

I have to say AU-50 . I know it's usually a weak strike but too much chatter on both sides which is taking away from the nice strike , IMHO .

Nice pickup

I grade sort of conservatively ... XF 45 to AU 50

Nice example for sure! It doesn't look clashy at all. If I am not mistaken, that is especially uncommon for 1924-D.

Looks XF to me, that strip of wear on the corner of Lincoln's lapel looks a little wide.

Gotta say, I'm surprised by the comments so far! When I opened it from the mail and did my 15 second glance grade I came out with VF30. Cruised around Heritage's past auctions and slabbed examples are more in line with what you all are saying for sure - XF45 to AU53. Apparently, I am not the best at grading weakly struck wheats! Looks like the $40 I paid was well worth it!

EF-45 is what I'd give it. Any photos from a different angle, by chance?
