One of the negatives is that if you drop your account, I believe everything you upload is lost. I could be wrong about that though.

I use what @WheatBack uses....PhotoBucket.

I scan my notes on a flatbed scanner and upload the images to PhotoBucket.
You are able to leave titles and/or descriptions of the images. I really miss the "TAG" feature, because I was able to find and group notes with tags like "error", "serial #12", "large size" , etc.

It's free. But it is on display for everyone who happens upon it. So if you want it to be private, then it is not for you. But if you want to share, it's perfect.
