The star between Dime and America appears doubled. Any opinions?

I would like to see the 'AMERICA' a bit closer. It might be something in that area?

There seem to be minor split at the star, but over all not dramatic.

Thanks for the extra images. I wondered if it was a trails example. But probably not. The 'M' looked interesting to me (first 'M') on AMERICA. But it looks like your coin was an earlier example struck with that die. So it maybe why it looks interesting on these devices.

Not sure if this is a doubled die, or due to a damaged die. Thoughts?

That's was an old thread, but yours is just circulation wear.

I couldn't get good photos of it, but I don't think it's circulation wear. The right side of the olive branch, post, and some lettering looks like it's cut at a very sharp 45* angle. To create that sharp of an edge, it would have been through a mechanical process.
