Does anyone know of any mintage data for the 1928-S, 1934-D and 1942-S in the large and small mintmark variety? For each of the dates, is one size mintmark more common? I seem to find more 1942-S large mintmarks than small...but I'm curious what if any actual mintage data exists for these dates.

There is no actual mint mintage numbers for large and small mint marks. They are lumped together. So it is not known.
Rest in Peace

IMHO the answer is YES for nothing more than the sake of completeness. However, PCGS & NGC do not distinguish these Large and Small varieties so from that perspective its a non-requirement especially if you are completing a registry set. Current albums do not have a hole for them to reside. The Red Book obviously makes a footnote notation on these dates. Some auctions make the distinction so it seems to fall into the "to whom does it matter?" category. I for one am a collector who says it matters while others would argue you can take this approach a bit too far with all of the other different styles in the series being considered.
