Of the Peace dollars from your other post, this is
your best date coin.

But because it has been so highly polished, most of the
value is gone. I would say it is a little better then
melt.

I might be tempted to carry this coin around in my
pocket for a few months, to see if that polish could
be worn off.

AU= Almost Uncirculated the Details means there is some kind of damage or cleaning on coin.

I agree with grade

This is the 1st year known as a high relief coin. if you look the cameo on the obverse and eagle on reverse should he higher than the other years. This is the reason why there is still detail left in eagle feathers on reverse. Your 1922 might be like this as well, but unlikely.

Probably Almost Uncirculated (AU) details and polished to death. This issue is noted for incomplete strikes which makes it hard to determine what is wear and what is strike weakness after a coin has been severely polished like this.

I'll tell you. Whoever polished this coin like this did you no favors. The coin has little value over melt because of it. If it had been left alone it could have been worth $75 to $100.
