I was looking at this coin but I questioned him on the grade and he tells me do not bother to bid so I will not.I did not think it was extra fine.

From the picture it looks about F-12 could be a bad picture though but I doubt a bad picture could hide that much detail. At least it's a proper Far 6 most people list Far 6's that aren't.

Assuming this was ebay, people put whatever they want as the grade. Those with less experience may end up paying more for less, unfortunately.
I'd say F/VF, very hard to tell as the picture they provided is small and not too sharp.

I'd say F-12 to 15 as well... too much wear for a 20, let alone a 30 or a 40. The "far 6" designation has had a rough life and ICCS has stopped cert'ing them and Charlton has stopped listing them in the front. Because the 6 was handpunched into each working die, the 6 can be near, far, high, low or rotated in any varying degree. The coin shown is not the coin that ICCS started certifying 10-12 years ago. The coin that most feel is the "real" or first far 6 is a bit wider than the one shown in this photo and was also slightly canted or rotated CCW. This one has, if any, a rotation that is CW.

F15 for me too. Something with the surface is throwing me off, but I'm not sure if that's just over sharpening the photo
