I purchased 3 ASE's from an ebay seller on May 16th. I still have not received these. 99.9% of the time I receive anything I purchase on ebay in 5-7 days. How long should I wait before filing a complaint? I have reached out to the seller twice (I had to initiate the communication both times) and both times they said they were being shipped. The seller actually seemed snippy and rude in their responses.

If and when I receive them what kind of feedback should I leave? Positive -since I received the item but also state shipping was slow and communication was poor?

I have never had to deal with this so this is why I am asking for advice.

If you do receive your item, I would say that negative feedback is out of line. There is a specific star rating for delivery time and toy should give fewer stars for that.
If they are nut communicating well, there I'd a stars rating for that as well.
That's my thoughts...

Do you have a tracking number from the seller? If there is a tracking number see WHERE the package is. It may be delayed in the postal system somewhere.

If there is no tracking number then see what the Seller's stated handling time is. If he is outside of his stated handling time then you have every right to complain and to leave appropriate feedback.

Be aware of the time limits for filing a dispute for items not received. The burden of proof lies with the Seller to see that you receive your item or to issue you a refund if he can't deliver.

Go to the help pages on ebay and look for "I haven't received my item" for more answers. Good luck!

I'd just about bet your Seller is waiting on his shipment from his wholesale distributor. He probably buys a roll of Eagles once he has orders (and the money) for 20 coins. Some people work on a low budget and won't risk carrying a volatile inventory.

I would say after the window listed for the estimated delivery has passed. Be aware though that this could mean up to six weeks after purchase if from an overseas seller that's inexperienced. Believe it or not, I'm waiting for an item now for a seller from Albania that now has a NEGATIVE total feedback score that I purchased back on April 29 and the estimated delivery window isn't until June 8. It was a 1908 Barber quarter in VF condition that I purchased for $13.50 including shipping. The seller apparently shipped it on May 2nd but without any tracking information. I'm going to message the seller warning that the coin hasn't yet arrive and tell him to include tracking information for next time. At least ebay has good buyer protection and it wasn't a lot of money, so hopefully the coin will turn up.

The auction ended on May 16 and the tracking number was just added on Tuesday after I initiated communication yet again. The later date on the estimated delivery was May 31st. This is a USA seller mailing three simple ASE's to a USA buyer. The seller is in CA and I am in NC and as of this morning the coins are in FL. I am not really blaming this on the USPS as of now. It would not surprise me if the seller put the wrong tracking info in.

I just don't think I am being too impatient....

I kind of think Westernsky may be on to something. This is not a "big time" seller. I'm sure I will eventually receive the coins ...and I can promise I will not be buying from this seller again. I will stick to the bigger silver suppliers on ebay.

I have said it before and will repeat myself:

ebay already has a simple and easy to use process in place called the resolution center. You can literally click on the item purchased, select "more actions" and select "i didnt receive it". Follow the steps and let ebay handle the rest.

As far as timing is concerned. It will tell you what at date you are allowed to file a dispute through their system. Just go by that date every time. You paid and did your part. What more is there to say? You should not have to ask for updates or wait any unreasonable amount of time. If the seller is playing games, file a dispute though ebay's system and be done with it.
