10 peso coin can be spent in Mexico, with the value of 2 small bags of chips or can of Coke (approximate value).
1 centavo coin is worth slightly less than its weight in copper. (Worthless in purchasing power.)

The 1 centavo coin would sell in a "junk bin" for 10-25 cents.
