Hi all,

Today I found a WWF 50P from 2011 and I'm wondering what it's worth.

Searching Google shows people trying to sell them from £1 right the way up to £1000

Do you guys know what it's actually worth?
Rest in Peace

It would appear to be this coin here:

Great Britain
KM1196
with 3.4 Million minted, I wouldn't call it rare or scarce.
NGC site says $6 for MS63, $8.50 for Proof

I would note that the NGC site says ~40,000 minted. that is a far cry from the Mints number

This is 'just' a regular British commemorative coin. Mintage is 3.400.000, so not 'special' in mintage numbers, and it's from 2011, so not 'ancient' or having many coins destroyed already over time due to various circumstances. If your coin isn't in a Fleur de Coin condition, I'd guess the price would be much, much closer to the £1 you found than the £1000. In fact, to most people it'd be worth just 50P...

As someone from the UK if I needed one (I don't) I wouldn't look to pay more than £1 for it. But I would usually wait until I get one out of circulation.

I have around £80 worth of commemorative coins.
