I am extremely novice to coin identification but have stumbled upon a coin that looked different from the others and after googling the date I am curious if I have found a rare coin. Please help!

Sorry, but it wasn't until 1980 that the P mint mark appeared on dies from Philadelphia. Do this would be a regular 1975 Dime from Philly. Worth .10

A proof coin would have square rims in cross section and the fields would be flat.

'75 is a good day for Gems but circ coins are still too common to get much interest. Nice high end circs can be pretty scarce but there's no demand.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

to CCF. You have a dime minted at the Philadelphia mint and it would not have a mint mark. The no S dime is a proof and yours is a business strike. If you google 1975 no s dime you should be able to see photos of a real one.
