I just finished going through 8 boxes of Canadian pennies.
I found just over a full box of U.S pennies.
Would love to know what dates to look for and why.
Any help would be great, please and thank you.

maddog, here is one site I use http://cointrackers.com/

most people keep all wheat cents (1909 to 1958) the 55 double date is one to keep an eye out for.

the 1909 is the most saought after, especially the V.D.B version (look on the bottom between the wheat stalks)
The 22 was only minted at the Denver mint, so they all should ha a D mint mark, however there are some with no mint mark, and weak strike, which are worth a lot.

1982 was a year they changed the metals, so in 1983 all should weigh 2.5g, however there are some copper ones weighing 3.1g
the 1943 copper cent and the 44 steel cent are also known rarities

I am sure there are more resources out there

Try to find a place that sells the Red Book by Whitman Publishing.

Ace's link above is one of the best for sure, but all you need to do is Google "wheat pennies" and you'll find a ton of references.

I'm glad you were able to get boxes of Canadian pennies. They're no longer minted and many of them have been melted down. Yes, "The Official Red Book" is my first stop for information about US coins! Good luck.

1983 Cents are valuable if they are copper. They need to weight 3.1 grams.
