Dear All,

I friend found this in his backyard (Masovian, Poland). I can't find any information about this. I am supposing it's may be a part some kind of card game from napoleonic era but I don't have any proof.

Reverse of this token have no symbols. on averse: there is man with a scythe and tall hat. on the left there is number 1. On the right are 3 deep incisions. Below the man its probably LD or 1D.

I remember reading that on 19th century tokens, an "I D" inscription meant "one day's work in the fields" and the image represented the kind of work. In that case, they must have been paid out to the labourers.

@borin, first welcome to CCF.

Second, something seems odd with your post. Do you have one token or two? The outline of the two pics that you posted are clearly from different objects, but the design could be the same. Can you please the other side of both tokens?

@DL20K
Thank you. Yes I have two such tokens, sorry for lack of precision.
Here is other side of the tokens:

The design seems almost identical just one of them are more worn.

@dspenciner Do you mean it may be some sort of company scrip? Do you know any database I could search to find something similar?

Here's a link to a local forums with another specimen of this token.

The size is given as 30mm, the reverse is said to be blank as well.

The difference with this one is, of course, the additional "1" counterstamp and the dots.
