Are these toned or do they always appear this way? Some look like errors to me. They all came from bank rolls, Thank you, Bill. Image: obverse.jpg68.75 KB

Hi Bill
These coins tend to tarnish rather quickly, and turn kind of an ugly brownish gold color !!
Can you be a little more decriptive of what appears to be errors to you ?
There were some however that were done in an experimental wash that came from the mint ,from what I understand they will be a uniform milk chocolate brown color, and would not have areas where the gold color shows through !

They seem to have marks from the mint on them, at least I guess it would be from them as I opend them and they were form a bank roll. Bill.

My wife and I recently purchased a bank roll of Sacs and when looking through them, came across an "error" of sorts...can anyone validate this? It cannot be seen on a picture or scan since we do not know how to adjust it to such a fine detail.
Description: On the reverse of a 2001 P, where the two stars are under the "MER" of America, there are faint, yet clear (when held at the right angle...as alot of errors are), lines that sort of coincide with the feathery details of the upper wing's back side. These "lines" go towards the outer rim of the coin and look as though they may be coming off the wing itself.
If you have ANY help at all, please, feel free to email us at: ezsellingsolutions@yahoo.com. Thanks for the help!

Also, if there are any Morgan experts (or even if you just think you are...lol...you're probablly better than we are), please, help! We have several Morgans with various dates and MMs that have die cracks and hairlines. One for example, is a 1921 that has a line ranging from the second T in STATES around the rim. Any clues?!

It is best to post your pics here on the forum. You can upload either .jpg or .gif files. They need to be less than 100k in size. Just click on the icon next to "Insert an Image File" at the bottom of the post box.

Here is the best picture of the cracks.... Image: PIC00004.jpg74.58 KB First time I tried uploading, you guys make it really easy Nice die cracks. Having said that, Leroy will not assign a VAM # for cracks. The die must break before a # is assigned. I'm not seeing a break so I this this may be a early die state. If you are seeing a break, try holding a magnifing glass over it to take the picture, and I'll see if I can find it. Take a few minutes and go to http://www.rjrc.com/Rob is the King of 1921 die breaks and has a lot of info on his site. Ashmore.com will take up the rest of your day when you are ready for it. Look at the VAM updates there. Happy hunting!!
