Roosevelt Dime Error Cut Throat Possible Broken Die Error

Please let me know if you have seen this error or if it is a post mint damage. I cannot make out the date but it appears to be 1950 something. Thank You. Report this Post to the Staff

The crack in neck area appears to be raised as well. I believe you are correct that it could be 1972 as on closer inspection it isn't silver as copper shows on edges. In your opinion would this coin have any value beyond maybe $5.00 range? Report this Post to the Staff

I kind of figured it wasn't anything special, it just happens to be the first error coin I ever found in pocket change since I started looking at my change since Feb this year. ErrorCoins222 Pillar of the Community United States 1699 Posts	Posted 06/12/2016 10:54 pm I would question the determination that this is a die crack, considering how much other damage the coin exhibits. The mark on the neck is likely only an extension of this damage. In order for us to judge this coin properly (or at least me, anyway) larger photos of the area in question are needed.
