1966 Error Coin? Please Help

It does look like the you and R are connected by what is probably a small die chip or something like that. Neat find! That would only be the case if the metal is raised. If it is incuse, it is probably damage.

Note the die flow lines. The coin is from a VLDS die. So it maybe that the flow lines are connecting those devices, not the devices connecting. If it were a connecting issue, I would expect it would have to be farther out on the coins perimeter. but when the dies loose their freshness, anything can happen.
