Bucket lists, we all have them, but what happens when you check something off, do you go bigger, more dramatic?

I know everyone has a "Dream Find" be it a 3-legged Buffalo nickel, 1913 nickel, or a 1936 dot penny. These are not likely going to found in a random coin roll. I know at least one member here has found a gold coin in a roll, but let's be honest this is not likely going to happen.

I started hunting pennies, and worked up to all 4 denoms, pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters (picking up 50 cent pieces and silver dollars when I can find them). About 3 years ago, I decided to go big or go home. I had the funds in the bank just sitting there gathering dust, so I dedicated them to CRH.

I was doing maybe $100 a week in 2012,(finding some silver, maybe a dime or a quarter here or there) and I was slightly embarrassed to ask for coins, let alone returning them afterwards.

But when you walk up to the teller holding 2 bags full of coins totally $2000+ that embarrassment goes away real quick.

I started finding silver more consistently, and I was always trying to better myself, I would find 2 silver coins in a roll, then 10, 12 I was at about 17 dimes as my record for about 6 months. Thinking what it would be like to get a full roll of silver coins (dimes or quarters). Then it happened, I got a full roll of silver dimes, then another.

Once I hit that mark on my bucket list, I said I wanted to find a whole block of silver (tellers refer to a bundle of 10 rolls a block). Then I found not 1 block but close to 4 blocks of silver quarters.

So now my bucket list includes finding a complete box of silver, however improbable that may be, I will still keep looking.
I have not come as close as that one score of almost $400 (a box is $500) but I am sure looking forward to the hunt.

Wow that's incredible . That just doesn't happen here in the U.S. Some have come close but not to that extent .
Rest in Peace

My bucket list starts with a LWC 55 DDO in the wild... very improbable, I know. But who knows.

My post was more about the path, not the end result.

(In US, we use quarter so often that it is unimaginable to find rolls of silver quarters. )

When I finished a set of silver dime (1947 to 1964), I stop searching dime.

After I finished my set of Benjamin Franklin halves (1955 was the key). I scale down my searching.

Now I am searching mainly Nickels in hope to fill as many holes as possible of my Buffalo nickels.
