Which ones can you recognize just by the style of the last two digits of the date? The coins are from 1900-1999. None are NCLT. No US or Canada among them.

This is a very cool and interesting challenge! Now to do some digging and find out.
70 is from Sweden, for sure. Most likely a 1, 2 or 5 Øre coin.

The reason I didn't make it an official contest is that Google sometimes manages to identify a coin, even if you crop the picture significantly. It doesn't happen that often but it's a possibility. So, instead I posted it as a general thread. penfold_ak, yes, 64 is an Irish florin. UltraRant, of course, 70 is a Swedish coin, this particular one was a 2 Øre. I expected this would be one of the first to be guessed. Litotes, that's not correct - 62 is a coin that is often mistaken for being from the USSR even here. CoinCollector2012, indeed, 35 is from the aluminum 50 reichspfennig which was only released around 1940. Potsdam, there is more than one German coin among them but 16 isn't one of them. As an additional note, while there are no US or Canadian coins among them, not everything is from Europe, either.

Ah, I see. 62 must be 1 or 2 Stotinki from Bulgaria, then.
If I can't even get that one right I'll have little chance with the others.

Litotes, correct, 62 is a Bulgarian stotinka coin.
There are many other common ones among the 100.

I'm sure I've seen several of these before, I just can't place them.
14 looks particularly familiar. I'll kick myself when someone else gets it.
75 I'd like to buy. To my recollection I haven't seen a 7 with a line through it. Then again, maybe I have it already and just didn't notice.

You have outdone yourself. That is a nice photo on its own. I am certainly lost with most of them, but it will be fun watching the results unfold.

What a clever little quiz!
I guess that the 09 is Belgium and the 97 is Macau.
My question are all of them are distinctive enough to identify to country?
