Cumberland Island - 2nd row 1st or 2nd coin (Turtle) Pictured Rocks - 1st row 4th or 3rd row 2nd coin Voyageurs - 1st row 4th or 2nd row coin Block Island - 3rd row 4th or 2nd row 2nd coin Apostle Islands - 1st row 1st or 2nd coin
Granted I know nothing about these National Parks and don't know what they are about yet (I like to look them up once I get the coins) but I chose these because I thought they would look nice on a silver proof quarter in my Dansco :D I also agree I don't much like the people or words on the coins. Animals or scenery are much better IMO

Thanks for this -- always interesting later to see the designs that didn't get released.
Cumberland Island: second on left and bottom right aren't very distinguished. They immediately made me think of Everglades and Bombay Hook, which are virtually identical to each other. I like top left or the diving turtle.
Pictured Rocks: Again, several look too much like Arches or Blue Ridge Parkway. I vote for the one at lower right.
Voyageurs: I like the fire and northern lights -- that's a unique design for this series.
Block Island: Right column, near the middle -- either one with the building in the background.
Apostle Islands: More arches, but at least there are canoes to help them stand out. I vote for center-left.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of ANY of these designs. ....sigh

It does seem to be a problem with this series. Keeping the "national parks" theme is awfully restrictive -- you're bound to get a lot of landscapes, wildlife, monuments, and... not much else. The earlier State Quarters program provided a lot more room for creativity, and while some of those designs weren't very good, there were several that were better than almost all of the ATB designs.

Cumberland Island should have horses, so I vote for a re-draw. Pictured rocks...it is what it is...one with no people would be nice. Voyageurs with the loon looks great, the eagle one is a good representation too. Block island...first row 4th coin. Apostle Islands, bad choice with Pictured rocks the same year...more rocks with holes...yeah.
Looks like one coin in 2018 will have a kayaker for sure :(
