I never know where to post these kinds of things. This isn't an error coin, but it's not exactly your usual collectable either. Anyway, some coins need a name of their own.

That is a lot of bubbles. Pretty common on these early zincoln. When they pop this coin will be a zombie.

I considered Warts or Zits McLincoln, but somehow it seemed mean.

Not unusual for the early to mid 1980's Zincoln cents. I do like the name, though.

Yeah. THIS one I knew better than to be excited. He just seemed zittier than most others I'd seen.

If only some Clearasil would work on these cents.

Somehow I doubt it. This one just jumped out when I was cherrypicking pocket change. LOL.

twslisa ... that was my attempt at humor ... Truth is ... I do try to keep examples of odd coins, or coins with different types of errors. Just for a reference when showing coins.

Looks like a good ebay candidate - bubbles - toning - luster - maybe add a little ufo counterstamp...

Well, there are worse Zincolns out there. Much worse.

Thanks, guys. Silly topic. Like most new collectors, it's all new to me, and a learning experience. And yeah, I've tucked away a few odd coins like this, not because I think they're actually collectible, but just for reference.

Actually, I found this a very useful topic. I also have a few early Zincolns, and after close examination I found that they also are Zitcolns. I actually never gave it an extra thought and I never paid attention to it, until this topic. So now awareness is created, thank you for that.
