Hi- I am new to coin collecting. I have this coin and I was curious if someone could tell me if this is an error coin or just a regular coin.

Looks like contact on HALF on those devices. The mint mark looks like Machine damage after the strike of the coin.

Thank you for the insight, do minor mint errors like this make the coin more valuable or collectible vs regular 1964 jfk's?

It add no premium. In fact it may lower the value of a coin. If it Is real noticeable, it becomes a sever distraction. Some types of coin scratches can reduce a coin into a cull in a collectors eyes.

No because they are not mint errors, they are damage that happened to the coin after it was struck.
